Rice ELITE Tech: A Virtual Summer Experience
Apply for the Rice ELITE Tech pre-college engineering summer program which will be held online this summer. Rice ELITE Tech 2020 is a virtual one-week summer camp for the nation’s talented and most promising future engineering students. Rice ELITE Tech offers high school students an inside look at how to use and/or develop cutting-edge technologies and techniques (e.g., artificial intelligence, internet of things, Python coding, R coding, 3D modeling and 3D printing, data analytics, machine learning, etc.).
Creative Writing Camp
Creative Writing Camp, a collaboration between Writers in the Schools and School Literacy and Culture at Rice University, has a longstanding history of excellence. For the first time ever, camp will be offered online during three sessions this summer.
Focus groups of professional writers and highly effective teachers have come together to craft this exciting new approach to Creative Writing Camp. Wherever possible, student experiences will draw upon our traditional camp model, but we will also embrace this opportunity to explore new approaches and think creatively. Join us as we explore just what is possible in a virtual environment!
Tapia Camps
The Tapia Center has several online STEM camps during Spring and Summer 2021: An engineering camp for 7th-12th graders, a mathematics camp on data visualization for 7th-10th graders, and a computational thinking camp for 10th-12th graders. All programs focus on STEM content and presentation skills. Participants will interact with college students and STEM professionals.
